What is the cancellation policy?
All registrations, bookings, and payments made to SSA Media Corporation for the Swim Instructor Retreat are non-refundable. Once payment has been received, no refunds shall be issued for participant illness, cancellation, or event disruption due to acts of nature or other circumstances beyond the organization's control.
In the event SSA Media Corporation cancels the Swim Instructor Retreat, registered participants will receive a refund for their ticket price.
Registrations are transferable. Registered participants may not transfer or sell their tickets after February 12, 2026. All ticket transfers must be communicated to SSA Media at superheroswim@gmail.com with the transferred participant copied in on the email. The transferred participant must complete their own retreat application and waiver prior to confirmation. SSA Media Corporation is not responsible for payment transfers between participants.

We are capping the retreat at 60 participants. A maximum of 42 people can stay in the retreat house, and 18 people will join through day passes or weekend passes.
Can I bring my partner to stay with me?
Partners are welcome to stay at the retreat house if you purchase a Shared King Room ticket for two people. Otherwise, the retreat house is reserved for participants so the space can stay focused, connected, and fully involved in the experience. If your partner prefers not to join the retreat, we suggest nearby accommodation options, but they cannot stay on site without a ticket.
Can I bring my child?
No. The retreat is a child free space so everyone can be fully present and immersed. We will have children join us for specific teaching demonstrations, but no children are allowed to stay in the home.
Is this retreat an accessible space for all participants?
Unfortunately, the retreat home is not accessible for participants who require mobility support. There are multiple stairs, elevated spaces, and areas that cannot be adapted.

What does each day look like?
You will enjoy breakfast, followed by two guest speakers, guided lunchtime table topics, and plenty of time to relax, connect with other attendees, and enjoy the house amenities!

The cross streets near our location are Kinney Harmon Road & US-17. Just keep in mind that we do not provide transportation to and from the house for Day Pass holders who choose to stay off site.

King Rooms include one King Bed, an en-suite bathroom with both a tub and shower, towels, linens, basic toiletries such as shampoo and soap, and a 55” TV. Additional amenities may vary by room.
Are the bedrooms en-suite?
Yes, all rooms are en-suite. Some shared bathrooms are available for specific room types.
Do I have to share a bed with someone?
No. King Rooms come with a private bed. Only if you choose a shared option to reduce cost would you share a bed. Bunk or shared rooms will have multiple participants.
What if I want the cheaper option but don’t have anyone to share with?
You can ask a buddy to share with you or post in the retreat WhatsApp group to find a roommate. Please note, there is only one King bed per room.

Rooms will be assigned by the retreat team to accommodate preferences where possible. Gender assignments will apply for shared rooms, but all participant needs will be respected.
Can I drink alcohol in my room?
Yes, but please drink responsibly. Unsafe behavior, especially around the pool, will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the retreat.
Is there a place to store my own food?
Yes, there are designated areas and 2 fridges for storing personal food. Space is limited, and these are communal fridges. Participants are ultimately responsible for managing their own items.
Can I do washing/drying?
Yes, laundry facilities are available for participants staying on-site.
I’m breastfeeding - is there a safe place to store milk?
There are communal fridges and a freezer available for storing breast milk, but since we know this is liquid gold, we recommend bringing your own cooling bags to store in the fridge and appropriate labels for extra safety and peace of mind.
Are there quiet areas in the house?
Yes. Quiet areas include private rooms and the movie room. Please respect these spaces and other participants.
